Becoming a B-Corporation

b the change

We are on an important mission to become the first B-corp certified e-tailer in the Nordics by 2023. This means joining a global community of 3500+ companies across 155 industries and 78 countries worldwide who are focused on using their business for good, balancing profit and purpose.

What is a B Corp?

Certified B corporations are businesses that meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success and build a more inclusive and responsible industry.

why become b-corp?

Unlike other certifications for businesses, becoming a B-Corp is the only measurement that computes a company’s entire social and environmental impact. B-Corp certified businesses are required to undergo the verification process every three years, demonstrating that B Corps are focused on continuous improvement, leading to long term resiliency.

How do you receive certification?

Becoming a B corp is a rigorous process and requires engaging teams and departments across the organisation. Companies need to reach a verified score of 80 points or above on the B Impact Assessment (BIA), the assessment tool that measures the company’s overall impact on its workers, community, customers and the environment. It also requires a legal commitment by changing the corporate governance structure to be accountable for all stakeholders, not just our shareholders.

Joining a global movement

Besides being a certification, B Corp is also a movement, a vision, and a legal commitment for companies willing to balance profit and purpose, building better businesses. Companies join the B Corp movement and form a community to be ahead of legislation, and to become a force for good and aim for excellence both for the people and the planet. As of September 2021, Boozt hosts the 6 brand partners that are B corp certified.

Boozt has completed the self-assessment using the BIA to achieve an unverified score. With this score, we will apply to start the official verification process through B Lab. Once approved, scores are shown publicly for comparison and organisations are required to reapply every three years to hold status.
